A LEGACY TAKES ON A LIFE OF ITS OWN, AND BECAUSE IT IS DEFINED AND DEVELOPED BY MANY INDIVIDUALS OVER MANY YEARS.

RASIT’S LEGACY HAS A UNIQUE HISTORY!

RASIT was signed into being on 17 April 1968 by
HRH Prince Mohammed bin King Faisal (I) of Iraq El-Hashemite

The Royal Academy of Science International Trust (RASIT) is a leading global Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to implementing sustainable development and global initiatives and plays an influential role in regional and international policy in a wide range of ways.

RASIT's mission is to inspire, inform, and enable equitable, diverse, and inclusive socio-economic development programs to improve the quality of life without compromising that of future generations.

For over 55 years, RASIT has worked with governments, civil society, the private sector, the UN entities, and international and regional intergovernmental organizations, to address pressing sustainable development challenges, such as education, poverty, health, environment, among others.

RASIT is driving transformational change by drilling down on the root causes of any challenge, providing evidence-based data to inform policy decisions, and supporting cutting-edge science and technology-based solutions, coordination, and advocacy. All through times of change,

All through times of change, RASIT’s mission has remained steadfast to provide and support human development initiatives which reveals its legacy and demonstrates the mastery of serving humanity.

It is imperative to note that RASIT’s own activities are fully funded and sponsored by its privately derived resources.

Since 1968, RASIT has been an organization with an infinite vision into the future and will continue its tradition of measureless services for the benefit of mankind.

We live in an era, in which science and technology have evolved miraculously, and are in ever more creative ways being harnessed to achieve permanent and sustainable development goals. It is necessary to recognize, however, that the world cannot turn the wheel of development and advancement without the central involvement of talented and competent women and men in science whether in leadership or diplomacy.
