FOSTERING A SAFE AND DIGNIFIED LIFE FOR THE ELDERLY AND DISABLED

People of all ages can have a problem controlling their bladder or bowel, and this can have a real impact on their daily lives. Some people avoid going out or need to plan their activities around a toilet.

People can be reluctant to talk about bladder or bowel problems, but in most cases the problem can be cured or managed, so it doesn’t interfere with your everyday life.

Incontinence, the inability to control bladder or bowel so accidentally lose urine from the bladder or feces from the bowel, is quite common in elderly and people with certain disabilities.

Although incontinence might be treated either by exercises to help strengthening the muscles surrounding the bladder or bowel, medications or sometimes surgeries, still such options are very difficult and, in many cases, unaffordable especially for elderly or disabled living in developing or least developed countries.

Almost inevitably every form of incontinence has psychological consequences: shame and insecurity are often results of uncontrolled loss of urine. Among others, in the long term, they lead to the avoidance of social contacts and possibly to depression and isolation.

RASIT has been fostering a safe and dignified life for the elderly and disabled people by providing them with the right incontinence products which help them manage the problem and carry on with normal life.

Since 1979, RASIT has been providing for elderly and disabled homes a wide range of high-quality products and devices for urinary incontinence, including pads and pants, bed and chair protection sheaths, skincare and hygiene products, among other support.

Since 2014, RASIT sends every four months a half of shipping container full of supplies to whomever and wherever is in need.
