Enwan (عنوان in Arabic; Address in English) Journal promotes Arab youth working together in partnership with adults to
create just, safe, and healthy communities by building leadership and influencing public policy.
The Journal, an initiative of RASIT, is started in response to the need for teenagers and young adults in Arab States a
platform to have a voice.

The Journal is published in Arabic Language by the World Students League - a program of the Royal Academy of Science
International Trust (RASIT). We are passionate in our belief that educated, employed, and engaged young
people possess the power to solve the world’s toughest problems. Every young person therefore deserves the opportunity
to realize his or her full potential. Our Journal is a catalyst for change that helps Arab youth specifically to be heard,
dialogue, express their vision, learn, and lead.

Enwan is an independent multidisciplinary, non-profit, non-political, non-religious journal.  It is a publication for Arab youth
as well as community workers, educators, administrators, researchers, families, policymakers, and other practitioners
committed to the development of young people and communities.

Enwan Journal: is sharing one important commitment: the value of youth.  It is dedicated to voicing progressive, humane,
and caring approaches to the development of Arab youth and community. It is a periodical whose focus is Arab Youth: an
exciting philosophical, sociological, and educational movement which harnesses the power of Arab youth to affect
community development, and similarly, engages communities to embrace their role in the development for Arab youth.
Recognizing that no one sector of society alone has the resources or expertise to effectively address the
myriad challenges facing today’s youth, RASIT  is mobilizing a global community of educational institutes, businesses,
governments, International Organizations, and civil society organizations — each committed to developing the power and
promise of Arab young people.

Our mission is to be a catalytic force in promoting Arab youth and adult partnerships; working to create just, confident, and
healthy communities; and influencing policymakers at the local, regional, and national levels. Our features, columns, and
themes translate the Arab Youth vision into action; promote dialogue about key issues; and teach critical community-
building and organizational skills.

There are several reasons why we believe in connecting especially Arab young people with the very best change
knowledge that humankind has to offer.

• Youth feel the bad things in the world.
• Youth’s ethics withstand compromise through mentally fabricated arguments.
• Youth want change, and can dream.
• Youth feel inspiration and enjoy community.
• Young minds are still free to evolve a new, sustainable worldview and lifestyle habits.
• Youth are mentally flexible and have the time to learn.
• Youth have the time to practice action.
• Youth are accessible on huge scale – through the internet and through schools!
• Youth love to do meaningful stuff at school and universities, and so do many educators

The Journal aims to:

• provide a medium, especially for young academics, to inform social policy and academia about the youth perspective;
• provide a platform for the intellectual exchange of ideas around the Arab States with the aim of influencing policies and
practices that affect young people;
• actively encourage and aide those young people whose voice is rarely heard by the community and policy makers to
contribute to the journal or be heard through it.

The Journal is a monthly magazine, website and community created entirely by young people aged 15-24 where they
cultivate their creative talents and learn alongside established professionals.

It is a dynamic, action-oriented JOURNAL network & community focusing on groundbreaking positive change initiatives,
portraits, tools and more. Merging several world leading approaches in one inspiring medium, The Journal is built to
include and amplify the creative power of Arab Youth.

In fact, it is a premiere Journal on Arab youth leadership. It is also the first one on full spectrum positive change across
Arab States to enabling massive participation, scaling and empowerment through online volunteers and launching a one
Pan Arab Edition. So, this is a whole bunch of innovation in one Journal, helping Arab youth to connect, participate, and
even learn– to transform their Communities in a very positive way!
The Journal will be edited and mainly operated by Young people from all Arab States, some will write, others will design,
photograph, blog and illustrate for the Journal’s website, you tube channel, twitter and facebook; under the guidance of
highly skilled professionals.

With more than 1000 contributors across Arab states via the Journal, plus the website and social media community that
will be growing, it's no surprise that the Journal will be the fastest growing and most exciting magazines for young people
in Arab States.  The Journal therefore offers advertisers a number of opportunities that deliver results - from traditional
display through to "scene-melding" integrated impact campaigns.

The Journal will be distributed via secondary schools, colleges, universities, restaurants, leisure centers, libraries youth
clubs, and all the areas that young people hang out across Arab states.
There are many exciting, innovative ways of involvement.  This is only the beginning! We have many more features to come
